We invite you to connect and engage with fellow community leaders and professionals from the Tampa Bay Hispanic community. Join us as we come together to celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month.

The evening will feature keynote speaker Jose Valiente, long-time community leader and retired partner from CliftonLarsonAllen, one of the top ten CPA firms in the United States. Jose’s keynote focuses on “words of wisdom for the next generation.” He will share what he’s learned about building success at home, work, and the community. You don’t want to miss this!

About Jose Valiente

Jose Valiente was born in Cuba and moved to the United States in 1962, settling in Tampa, Florida. After graduating from the University of South Florida, he co-founded the successful Tampa CPA firm, Valiente Hernandez, P.A., later merging with what is now CliftonLarsonAllen (CLA), one of the top ten CPA firms in the United States. After an illustrious practice in public accounting and consulting for 40 years, Jose retired as a Tax Partner from CLA in 2013.

Jose is a respected leader in the Tampa community where he and his wife, Lourdes, call home. Jose and Lourdes are also proud parents to daughter Lauren, who is an attorney with the Tampa law firm Foley & Lardner.

Civic and professional highlights include:

• · Chairman, USF Foundation 2021– 2023 – first Hispanic to hold this office
• · Recipient, 2019 USF’s President’s Distinguished Citizen Award – first immigrant to receive this award
• · Recipient of the 2019 Junior Achievement Silver Leadership Award
