The Prophets of the Abstract Truth conjure a mystical blend of blues, bossa nova and Latin-tinged modern jazz standards, as well as jazzy covers of Grateful Dead, Allman Brothers and even Beatles. Join Carl Disque, Arnie Helmick and Bob Courter as they transport across musical genres in a single bound and provide unique interpretations and spirited arrangements from a broad cross-section of the musical spectrum. During the new art exhibit opening "From Realism to Abstraction" in Gallery 50, they will be playing next door in Music Makers.Please enter through Gallery 50 (50 West Main Street) and check out the amazing art! Gallery 50, Music Makers, and Destination ARTS! are all initiatives of the non-profit Arts Alliance of Greater Waynesboro. Free live music has been presented in Waynesboro every weekend since July 2013 (except when closed during the pandemic). Donations are gratefully accepted to help keep this and other events going.
