About this Event

Learn how to grow new plants from existing ones through the art of propagation. We will cover techniques such as division and rooting in water.

No previous propagation experience in needed and the techniques you learn will be easy to do at home. This class will be great for people who want to grow their existing plant collection or share with friends.

During this class you will have the opportunity to propogate on your own. Each attendee will receive a Swiss cheese plant (Monstera adansonii) cutting. You will learn how to properly wrap your cutting in sphagnum moss and plant it inside an amber glass jar. They will grow roots, produce new leaves, and eventually make a new plant!

- The Sphagnum moss acts as a water reservoir which the plant can access without becoming overwatered.

- The absence of drainage holes means these glass jars are anti-leak, giving you peace of mind when placing on indoor furniture.

- Low maintenance and easy care. You simply moisten the moss when dry.
