On Saturday, October 8th join B1inary Funk and The Promised Land DJ Collective featuring Splattemonkey.
"Promised Land" is a brand new monthly dance party.
Our goal is to bring a feel good night of funky, soulful dance music to The Piston on the 2nd Saturday of every month.
Our mission statement is to:
"Pay homage to the black and queer roots of North American dance music culture."
We play an open format mix of music inspired by the New York Disco, Chicago House and Detroit Tech/House movements as well as a healthy dose of other emerging global Black and Queer dance music sounds of the last 50 years from around the globe in an accessible and judgement free space.
