On Saturday, June 10th, join The Promised Land DJ Collective featuring Splattermonkey & B1nary Funk at The Piston, 937 Bloor Street, Toronto, for a feel good night of funky, soulful dance music!Promised Land is a monthly dance party.
Our mission statement is to:
"Pay homage to the black and queer roots of North American dance music culture."
We play an open format mix of music inspired by the New York Disco, Chicago House and Detroit Tech/House movements as well as a healthy dose of other emerging global Black and Queer dance music sounds of the last 50 years from around the globe in an accessible and judgement free space.
