About this Event

Join us for a panel that will explore how AI is transforming the way stories are told, images are captured,-both for good and bad. Expert panelists from AU’s Faculty are joined by Santiago Lyon, Head of Adobe’s Content Authenticity Initiative to examine AI’s role in enhancing ethical storytelling by automating editing, analyzing vast datasets, and assisting in fact-checking. However, we must also confront the challenges of AI-driven misinformation, deep fakes, and the erosion of trust in visual media.

MODERATOR

Dr. Kryzysztof Pietroszek is an Associate Professor in the School of Communication (SOC) at American University (AU) and the President of Fair Artificial Intelligence Research Labs (FAIR Labs), a think tank in Washington, D.C. that focuses on the ethical development and application of artificial intelligence. At FAIR Labs, Dr. Pietroszek leads research initiatives that promote fairness, transparency, and responsible use of AI technologies, with a particular emphasis on their impact in media, communication, and society.
