Rules of the Game

- Time Duration: 45 mins
- 4 Innings
Second (2nd) & (3rd) Round Play Regular Game-Play Rules
- Time Duration: 1 hour
- 6 Innings
If a team is ahead by 10 or more runs after 3 complete innings, the game will be over.
Games that are tied at the end of regulation will go into extra innings until a winner is determined.
The time limit will be lifted for games in extra innings.
Game Time Start: Official game time begins at the start of the managers Home Plate meeting. Official time will be kept by the umpire’s time piece and is the Home Coach’s responsibility to make note of game start in their score book.
Tie Scores: NOTE: If the visiting team takes a lead and the home team does not finish their last inning the score will revert to the last completed inning.
Elimination games will begin international tie breaker at the expiration of time or after 6 innings, whichever occurs first. All Elimination games MUST be played to a conclusion.
Pitcher: Both feet must be in contact with pitching rubber prior to forward stride.
Coin toss for home/visitors: will be at home plate before the game begins. Teams are not designated dugouts based on home or away. First team at the field simple picks a dugout. Teams playing back-to-back game will not change dugouts to keep games on schedule.
Official scorekeeper: Home Team, is considered to be the official score keeper. Reminder: the scorekeeper is by rule an unbiased game official whose conduct is governed by that very definition.
Line Ups: No team can have a line no more than 4 males back-to-back in the line-up. Flex/DP and an Extra Hitter are optional. Extra Hitter is a free substituting player that can hit anywhere in the lineup. Flex must be designated before the start of the game and placed in the 11th hole if the EH is being used if not place in the 10th spot in the line-up.
If a team uses more than two EH than the teams must bat their entire line up. Teams do not have the option to bat two EH's and have one bench substitute. However, if all players are batting and a player gets injured and cannot play it will result in an out the first time the batter hits and then the lineup will collapse. If you bat the entire line up the last batted out will run for the pitcher or catcher otherwise courtesy runners need to be bench players and will be married to the catcher or pitcher.
Coaches must name all players on the lineup card to be game eligible when registering team. If a player comes late and is not listed as a substitute the player is not an eligible player to be in that game.
All players must be on the tournament roster turned in before the tournament starts to be eligible to play in the tournament.
Substitutions: Substitute announcements are a courtesy; however, we recommend all substitutions are announced to the plate umpire as the player first enters the game. Infraction for first offense is a warning, and second time will result in a dugout restriction for the coach who attended the plate meeting, third offense the third or first base coach will be restricted to the dugout.
Protests: There are no protests. All calls made by umpires are final.
Rosters: must be submitted at time of check-in (30 Mins prior to first game). Roster may not exceed 20 players during the tournament and players may not be added to during the tournament.
Waiver: Proof of waiver must be signed by all players the time of check in.
Softballs: Tournament Host will provide 2 game balls at the start of each game. It is the responsibility of each team to retrieve game balls hit out of field. If the 2 game balls are lost, teams must provide their own game balls to complete that game. Please bring one new ball and one gently used per game. Tournament Balls are to be returned after the game to an Xtreme Sports Official.
Slide or Avoid Rule: will be in effect at all age levels. Any player is out when the runner does not slide when the defensive player has the ball (or is judged to be in the act of catching the ball) and waiting to make a tag. All players are required to avoid collision with another player while running the bases. If, in the opinion of the umpire, the runner does not try to avoid collision, he is to be declared out. If the runner is judged to have attempted to intentionally dislodge the ball, the runner shall be called "Out", the ball is dead, and all runners return to their last base touched at the time of the interference.
