About this Event

Schedules, Dates, Team Fees & Waivers.

  • This is a Ladies 8-Team Single Game-Elimination Kickball Tournament held on Saturday, October 16th.
  • All games will take place at Starr Park Fields, in the City of Forest Park Georgia
  • Tournament will be rescheduled or partially refunded if rained out.
  • Schedules will be available at the Team Registration and Info booth on day of check-in.
  • All teams and/or participants must be registered and pay online thru Eventbrite or www.ProjectWER1.org
  1. When registering your team online you must provide all team participant names by their Full First & Last Name. By registering and purchasing online tickets or registration you have agreed to take full responsibility of all if any liabilities that may occur before, during, or after the game is played. In addition, all players will be subject to sign a hard copy waiver form as well before any team participates in the Game of play. Original Team Fee: $400 = Now:$300 or $15/Player Up to 20 players (Non refundable this is a charity event.)

Forfeits

  • A team can play with eight (8) players on the field at a time, although they may have up to fifteen (15) players listed on the roster.
  • A team may start and play a game with as few as seven (7) players. If the number of players drops below seven (7), the team will be forced to forfeit.
  • Must be at your assigned field and ready to play at designated time. There will be a five (5) to ten (10) minute grace period and then the team will automatically forfeit if not ready to play.

Equipment

Close-toed athletic shoes must be worn by all players.Kickballs and bases will be provided by Project WE-R1.Participants will be allowed and encouraged to play in team uniforms.T-Shirt provided for your participation in Project WE-R1's Xtreme Kickball Charity Tournament

Length of Game *

  • Games will be 6 innings or 45 minutes in length, whichever comes first. If time has elapsed, the inning in progress must be completed.
  • Three (3) outs OR one (1) time through the lineup will constitute as an inning.
  • When the last kicker of an inning puts the ball into play, the inning will end either when the kicker has been put out or when the defense is in possession of the ball while touching home plate.
  • If a team is ahead by 10 or more runs after 4 complete innings, the game will be over.
  • Games that are tied at the end of regulation will go into extra innings until a winner is determined.
  • The time limit will be lifted for games in extra innings.

Teams

  • Each team will play with eight (7) players in the field.
  • Teams may bat up to 15 players.
  • Players arriving late must be added to the end of the order.
  • No player can play or switch to another team before, during or after a win or loss

Start of Game

A coin toss will determine which team will bat first. The winner of the coin toss will have their choice of batting first or last.

Rules of the Game

  • The ball is put into play when the pitcher (from the defensive team) rolls the ball toward home plate and the kicker attempts to kick the ball.
  • A pitched ball that bounces above the kicker’s knee will be re-pitched.
  • The kicker must wait for the ball to be within 3 feet of home before kicking the ball.
  • If kicker doesn’t like the pitch, they should not attempt to kick it. The kicker will get 2 tries to put the ball in play. A missed kick or foul ball count as one try; after two tries the batter is out.
  • Kicker will be out by pop outs, force outs and being hit with ball below shoulders
  • If a player is not in a regular standing/running position from trying to avoid being hit, they are out if hit in head with a thrown ball.
  • Sliding into 2nd base and 3rd base and home plate is permitted.
  • Bunting = automatic out
  • A runner who leads off the base or leaves the base before the pitch is kicked will be out.
  • No leading or stealing.
  • To prevent injury, any runner that stays on his/her feet and deliberately runs into a fielder attempting to make a play on a ball or base runner will be called out.
  • If determined that the act is flagrant, the runner shall be ejected.
  • No infield practice after the first inning.
  • One base will be granted on an overthrow.

Player Conduct

All Players are expected to uphold a certain level of conduct, and all participates are subject to ejection for fighting, arguing field of play calls, or conduct detrimental to the team and the event, whether player of spectator. This is a family event and will be treated as such. By desecrating and not following the rules and guidelines, the Project: WE-R1 administration staff and/or game officials have the right to determine what constitutes an ejection. Each team/player are subject, but not limited to:

  • Follow all rules and guidelines
  • Be Respectful to All
  • Encourage Others
  • Be Kind if/when Losing
  • No Arguing field of play call with the Officials
  • HAVE FUN!!!

Miscellaneous

  • Each participant must sign in prior to the start of the tournament.
  • Players arriving late must sign in upon arrival.
  • All fans must remain out-of-bounds for the entire tournament.

Code of Conduct Rules for ALL

  • Smoking is prohibited indoors and outdoors, including the parking lots.
  • Park in marked car areas only. No parking in reserved parking spaces.
  • No parking along curbs or in grass unless approved by the City of Forest Park.
  • All Animals are prohibited from all parks except for service animals or by permit.
  • Alcoholic beverages are not permitted on City property; this includes the parking lot.
  • Do not clean off muddy shoes in the bathroom sinks, drinking fountains, facility walls or facility sidewalks and fences.
  • No climbing trees or fences.
  • Any other inquires must be ran through and approved by the Parks and Recreation Department in the City of Forest Park

INDEMNIFICATION CLAUSE – HOLD HARMLESS FORM

PLEASE READ CAREFULLY BEFORE SIGNING.

LIABILITY RELEASE, INDEMNITY AND PROMISE NOT TO SUE: I, the undersigned below, in consideration of my participation in the Project: WE-R1 1st Annual AutumnFest, and any related activities including but not limited to (“Event(s): Social Walk, Exceptional Social, Community Field & Game Play Day, Xtreme Basketball, Kickball”), wherever the/these Event(s) may occur, acknowledge that I am aware that my participation in the Event may result in risks, which among other things, include but are not limited to scrapes, bruises, twisted ankles and various injuries to the body, including death and heat and stress related issues, and I freely assume on my own behalf all risks incidental to such participation. In consideration of my participation in the Event(s) and in my own behalf, and on behalf of my heirs, executors, administrators and next of kin, I hereby release, covenant not to sue, and forever discharge the Released Parties (as defined below) of and from all liabilities, claims, actions, damages, costs and expenses of any nature arising out of, related to, or in any way connected with my participation in the Event and/or any such related and associated activities, and further agree to indemnify and hold each of the Released Parties harmless from and against any and all such liabilities, claims, actions, damages, costs and expenses including by way of example, but not limited to, all attorneys’ fees, costs of court, and the costs and expenses of other professionals and disbursements up through and including any appeal. I understand that this Release and indemnity includes any claims based on the negligence, action or inaction of any of the Released Parties and covers bodily injury (including, without limitation, death), property damage, and loss by theft or otherwise, whether suffered by me either before, during or after such participation. I declare that I am physically fit and have the skill level required to participate in the Event and/or any such related and associated activities. I further authorize medical treatment for me, at my cost, if the need arises. For the purposes hereof, the “Released Parties” are: Project: WE-R1, its trustees, officers, employees, agents, and event sponsors together with their parent and the parent, subsidiary, affiliated and related entities of each of them, and the trustees, officers, directors, employees, and volunteers of any of them. AUTHORIZATION AND RELEASE TO USE LIKENESS: I further grant the Released Parties the right to photograph and/or videotape me further to display, use and/or otherwise exploit my name, face, likeness, voice, and appearance forever and throughout the world, in all media, whether now known or hereafter devised (including, without limitation, in online web casts, television, motion pictures, films, newspapers, and magazines) and in all forms including, without limitation, digitized images, whether for advertising, publicity, or promotional purposes, including, without limitation, publication of Event results and standings, without compensation, reservation or limitation. This Waiver, Release, Promise not to Sue, Authorization and Release to Use Likeness Form shall be governed by the laws of the State of Georgia, and any legal action related to or arising out of this Form shall be commenced exclusively in the Superior Court in and for Georgia (or if the Superior Court shall not have jurisdiction over the subject matter thereof, then to such other court sitting in Georgia having subject matter jurisdiction). I certify I am eighteen (18) years of age or older and/or accompanied by an adult, parent, or guardian of that is eighteen (18) years of age or older. SEVERABILITY. If any provision of this Form shall be unlawful, void, or for any reason unenforceable, then that provision shall be deemed severable from this Form and shall not affect the validity and enforceability of any remaining provisions. I HAVE READ, UNDERSTOOD AND ACCEPT THE CONDITIONS OF THIS (i) LIABILITY RELEASE, INDEMNITY, AND PROMISE NOT TO SUE, AND (ii) AUTHORIZATION AND RELEASE TO USE LIKENESS.
