Learn about a no cost training program for adults with disabilities desiring to learn skills that will provide opportunity for employment!
Beginning January 3, 2022, a brand-new Project Search Adult initiative, funded by the Florida Developmental Disabilities Council (FDDC) and the Florida Division of Vocational Rehabilitation will be offered and held at Pirate's Cove Resort & Marina and run by the ARC of Martin County. Participating adults with disabilities enter into this program to learn skills, understand what it feels like to be in a job in real life and how to build up their resume.
The program provides an opportunity to gain experience in a professional setting, meeting for classroom time, resume building, skill building, budgeting and on the job training rotations in several different job settings allowing each individual to find their niche and learn different aspects of independence. The daily tasks help these students improve their communication skills and gain experience for their dream jobs.
