Project ESME is excited to present a free outdoor pop-up performance in downtown Grand Rapids during Art Prize along with students from various West Michigan schools! Come join us September 30th at 4:00pm on Monroe Center by Rosa Parks Circle for a super fun concert!This performance is presented as part of Project ESME’s “E.P.I.C.” student, community engagement performance series (ESME Pop-up Interactive Concerts). Students and ESME artists give free performances to the public as part of the series in local business venues, community centers and arts festivals while fundraising to support summer camp scholarships for kids, underserved school clinics and other educational programs. The E.P.I.C. concerts are linked to Project ESME’s youth training programs that teach students how to create and present interactive community engagement performances while providing free coachings, lessons, rehearsals and concerts with ESME artists. Students perform ESME arrangements tying popular music with classical instruments, technique, training, fundamentals of chamber ensemble playing and interaction.
This performance is presented by Project ESME, a 501c3 non-profit for community arts engagement and educational outreach.
