In addition to the programs and activities listed below, the Paynetown Activity Center is open Saturday-Sunday from 1 to 5 p.m. Drop by to make a different craft each day, view our live snakes, check out the wall exhibits and taxidermy collection, the reference library, spend time at the puzzle table, or play in the kids' corner - or ask a question of the park naturalist.
SATURDAY, AUGUST 22
Think Skink from 10 to 11:30 a.m.

DROP BY to learn how to recognize two common lizards that live around the lake, Broadhead and 5-Lined Skinks, and make a lizard craft.
Nature Scavenger Hunt from 1 to 5 p.m.

DROP BY to pick up a scavenger hunt sheet and go searching for as many items as you can! Return by 5 p.m. today to claim your prize.
SUNDAY, AUGUST 23
All the Colors of the Rainbow from 10 to 11 a.m.
Paynetown SRA, Campground Playground
DROP BY to learn about the science of rainbows! Explore why they only appear under certain conditions, discover the difference between primary and secondary rainbows, and find out how to recognize more uncommon types – like double and twinned rainbows, moonbows, and fogbows. Create a paper-etched bookmark featuring your favorite type!
