Program Description:

The Chief Justice’s Commission on Professionalism will host a CLE Convocation on Professionalism and the Rule of Law on Friday, October 30, 2026, between 9:00 a.m. – 5 p.m., in person at the State Bar of Georgia Atlanta Headquarters, with a live stream option. The cost of the CLE Convocation will include breakfast, lunch, and a reception immediately following the CLE Convocation. The CLE Convocation will examine the intersection of professionalism and the Rule of Law, and consider the professionalism impetus for Georgia lawyers to help sustain the Rule of Law. Chief Justice Nels S. D. Peterson will provide opening remarks.

The Convocation CLE has been approved in Georgia for 4.5 general CLE hours, including 2 professionalism CLE hours.

Early Bird Registration October 2, 2026 – October 18, 2026. $160

Regular Registration October 19, 2026 – October 27, 2026 $195

Late and Walk-In Registration October 28 – October 30, 2026 $250


CLE Information:

The Convocation CLE has been approved in Georgia for 4.5 general CLE hours, including 2 professionalism CLE hours.

The Commission will report Georgia attorney CLE attendance and pay the requisite CCLC fees to the State Bar of Georgia’s Commission on Continuing Legal Competency for the CLE to remain on a Georgia attorney’s CLE transcript. The Commission will not apply to any state other than Georgia for CLE course approval. If an attorney seeks CLE credit from another state, the attorney will need to do so on their own. The Commission will provide a Uniform Certificate of Attendance, at the request of an attorney.
