‘I work with things ... and move them about until they recall the feeling of an actual moment in the landscape; then I’ve won.’
Rosalie Gascoigne, 1997
Join National Gallery Artist Educators for an online professional learning program focused on the Rosalie Gascoigne exhibition, celebrating one of Australia’s most influential artists. This session will look at Rosalie’s artistic practice, tracing her transformation of found materials into works that resonate with memory and place.
Informed by the National Gallery Creative Learning Approach and Art Through Culture principles, this session centres the voice of the artist and includes multimodal ways to engage with works of art through creative learning strategies.
This session is open to early learning, primary, secondary, and tertiary educators, and other youth and arts professionals. Educators are also invited to use National Gallery learning resources and online programs to support learning before or after the session.
A verifiable digital certificate will be delivered to each attendee with 2 continuing professional development (CPD) hours.
