Join National Gallery artist educators for a full-day professional learning program at Western Plains Cultural Centre.
The program includes creative learning strategies for engaging with works from the national collection, with a focus on Yayoi Kusama's THE SPIRITS OF THE PUMPKINS DESCENDED INTO THE HEAVENS.
This session is open to early learning, primary, secondary and tertiary educators, and other youth and arts professionals.
National Gallery artist educators will outline the Gallery's Creative Learning Approach, used to engage with works of art, utilising open ended creative learning strategies that centre the artist’s voice. We will invite participants to share stories and ideas through an inquiry-led approach. This approach is designed to support learners to make personal connections with works of art and reflect on our own lived experiences of the world.
A verifiable digital certificate will be delivered to each attendee with 5.5 continuing professional development (CPD) hours.
This program includes:
-Full day teacher engagement
-Verified certificate
-For more information on the venue, visit the Wester Plains --Cultural Centre website.
