Professional Chinese Ink Painting Course

Never has there been a fully guided art class in such fine detail and precision so that art learners and beginners would be able to accomplish an artwork and fast-forward their art learning with an appreciation and understanding of the Chinese Ink Painting! With our professional art instructor’s step-by-step demonstration of art techniques and detailed explanation on the approach and methods, personalised instruction and advice based on individual artworks at each step, art learners will be fully guided to complete an artwork during each session. You can learn with ease and enjoy the process of creating your very own Chinese Ink paintings.

Some of the topics we would be learning together are Plum Blossoms, Chrysanthemum, Orchids and Bamboo, also known as the “Four Gentlemen”. We would also be learning other popular subjects such as birds and fish, as well as touch on creative abstraction of landscape painting.

The Chinese Ink Painting Class is an interactive art session conducted in a clear and guided manner by Visual Arts Centre’s professional art instructor(s) and include step by step demonstration, with art learners being able to follow through the steps, receive tips and guidance at each step and be able to complete an artwork at the end of 2Hours and 15 Minutes. The art class has a 5-15pax capacity and is suitable for teenagers and adult learners of all ages and experiences.

Lesson Objective:

> Chinese ink painting and calligraphy brush painting techniques, application and approaches, composition and style.

> Students will learn Chinese Ink Painting and Calligraphy through learning various subjects such as the classical “four gentlemen” – Bamboo, Plum Blossoms, Orchids and Chrysanthemum, birds and flower subjects, and be introduced to landscape and creative semi-abstract and abstract methods to ink expressions.

> Gain a strong foundation to Chinese brush painting techniques and calligraphy art, appreciation and understanding of Chinese Ink Painting, its approach and style(s)/school(s) of art

All art materials and free flow of beverages (hot/cold water, tea and instant coffee) is provided in the course fee.
