Prof Slam 2022

Inspired by UCSB Graduate Division’s wildly popular Grad Slam, Prof Slam challenges eight UCSB professors to share - in an entertaining, interesting, and digestible way - their research in just three minutes! Prof Slam will take place on Wallen Plaza at Mosher Alumni House.

The purpose of the event is purely entertainment. By merging the Grad Slam model, with the educational, but informal value of Profs at the Pub, this event will engage alumni and friends while highlighting the work of UCSB 's incredibly talented faculty.

As part of the AGR weekend, Prof Slam will take place outdoors, on Whalen Plaza, at Mosher Alumni House. Light appetizers will be served.

COVID-19 Guidance:

All attendees for Prof Slam and other All Gaucho Reunion events are required to complete UCSB's On Demand Screening Survey (http://bit.ly/UCSB-COVID-19-Screening) for each day they are on campus. The survey produces a clearance certificate (individual responses are confidential) based on whether attendees have no symptoms and are fully vaccinated or asks not fully vaccinated attendees for a negative COVID-19 test result within the 3 days prior to arriving on campus. Note: A home COVID test is acceptable.

All individuals, regardless of vaccination status, are required to wear face coverings in all indoor campus spaces.
