A Productive Backyard – growing food, saving seed, preserving the harvest and animals for your backyard. Do you want to get more from your block?
During this workshop Shani from Ecoburbia will cover some basic food gardening tips –from creating great soil, growing from seed, what to plant when and fertilising options. She will also share some great preserving tips including making jams and relishes, “canning” using the water bath method and solar drying. And finally – what about some animals for your block?
Come and see just how productive you can be at home – saving food miles, carbon emissions and your food bills!
