At the very heart of any show or production is the all-important Stage / Production Manager who oversees the production from start to end and is responsible for its successful completion.The Actors Studio Academy @ klpac is excited to collaborate with Suraya Rasid, an Institute of Technical Education (Singapore) lecturer, to present this comprehensive 3-day Production Stage Management Workshop. It will equip you with the basic knowledge, skills and tools needed including understanding the roles and responsibilities of a production team, production planning, budgeting and scheduling, interpretation of plans and drawings, marking of rehearsal space and managing rehearsals, paperwork and permits, prompt copy and cue technique as well as managing a performance including bump-in, technical / dress rehearsal, show and bump-out. No prior experience needed.
Suraya has more than a decade’s worth of experience in production / stage management and has worked with Singapore Ballet, Singapore Repertory Theatre, and The Necessary Stage, including on international touring productions.

ABOUT FACILITATOR
Suraya Rasid is an experienced production and stage manager with specialist skills in theatrical production and management. She holds a Bachelor of Arts (Technical Production Management) degree from the Queensland University of Technology and is currently a lecturer at the Institute of Technical Education, Singapore.
Suraya has more than 10 years of experience in the theatre industry and has worked on a wide range of productions from small-scale to international touring productions. She was formerly the Production Manager of Singapore Ballet (formerly called Singapore Dance Theatre), Singapore Repertory Theatre, and the Necessary Stage.
