Procreate Project Archive arts trail around artist/parent friendly venues in Manchester's Northern QuarterPROCREATE X AIR Gallery presents
Procreate Project Archive arts trail.
Featuring a selection of artworks from around the world, the aim of the trail is to raise awareness and visibility of artists/parents to try and promote systemic change for better representation, opportunities and accessibility in the arts for this group. The archive and subsequent trail is a way for parents and womxn to re-occupy public spaces and was created in response to the isolation and invisibility of unpaid care work. This nationwide trail is taking place so far in Oxford, Levisham and now Manchester.

Trail Maps will be available at Cass Arts and a QR code will be provided at all other venues.

Also taking place is a mini group show called ReProduce in the basement of CassArts of works by artist/parents. The show will be a combination of photography, textiles, drawings and paintings.

Accompanying the exhibition will be a selection of free handouts providing information and resources for artists/parents that they might not be aware of.

About Procreate Projects:
Procreate Projects is a pioneering grassroots arts organisation supporting the professional development or women and non-binary artists who are mothers/parents. Procreate Project crates radical models and infrastructures for better representation and accessibility, referencing and facilitating systematic change in the arts.
The Procreate Project Archive invites new models in which art can be disseminated, experienced and displayed nationally and internationally, from home as well as in public spaces. These printable posters will allow PCP and anyone else to download the posters and create easy-to-set and low-cost public displays.
About AIR Gallery:
AIR Gallery CIC is a volunteer led contemporary gallery based in Altrincham providing opportunities for emerging and early career artists. Each year we focus on a different underrepresented groups within the arts and for the start of 2023 our focus is on artist/parents.
