About this Event
What to expect:
This transformational ballet workshop blends the structure of a classical ballet class with an expressive, inclusive approach — open to all levels, all bodies, and all backgrounds.
This isn’t just a ballet class. This is a journey.
Step beyond the traditional and discover ballet as a full-body, emotional, and expressive art form — not limited by body type, age, or previous experience.
Whether you’re new to ballet or a seasoned dancer, this workshop invites you to:
Explore the Vaganova technique in a fresh, open way.
Learn how to move with full-body coordination and intention.
Use your emotions as fuel for your movement.
Discover how to travel boldly through space.
See ballet through a different lens — inclusive, expressive, alive.
Embrace what nature gave you — your own unique artistry.
Break free from perfectionism and move from a place of authentic expression.
It’s not about how you look. It’s about how you feel, how you connect, and how you tell your story through movement.
No judgment. No limits. Just movement, music, and the magic of being fully present in your body.
Join a ballet experience where your body, your voice, and your emotions are enough — just as they are.
All are welcome.
Come exactly as you are. Leave reconnected, inspired, and empowered.
Hara Kyriazi
Hara Kyriazi is a dance teacher and a dancer from Greece.
She graduated as a dance teacher and a dancer from Niki’s Kontaxaki Higher Professional Dance School in 2012. She also holds a degree in Archaeology and History of Art from the National Kapodistrian University of Athens where she graduated in 2014.
Since 2012, Hara has been succesfully teaching full time for various dance schools in Athens and the UK while performing with various dance companies in Athens, Wales and England. She has completed her MA for Professional Practitioners with Rambert School of Ballet and Contemporary Dance with Distinction (2022-2024). Her research title was 'Performing (M)otherhood: Excavating Identity and the Role of Neuroscience in Performance Preparation.' Drawing inspiration from her own lived experience, Hara sought to transform her current life into a subject of research. After becoming a mother, she became interested in exploring how her identity had evolved, the emergence of a new habitus and how these shifts influenced her dual role as a Mother and Dancer. As part of the research, Hara held dance workshops to examine whether emotions can be triggered before a performance using neuroscience and personal stories.
'I blend archaeology and dance to create workshops that invite each person to work with what nature has given them — unlocking emotion, memory, and the stories held within the body.'

We would recommend arriving about 30 minutes before the workshop start time. There are changing rooms on site, a member of Pro Dance Oxford will be around should you need anything, and the Arts at Old Fire Station Café do an amazing cup of coffee!
Suggestions for the Lunch Break:
Oxford has an incredible independent food and drink community including the wonderful Damascus Rose Kitchen who are based out of the Arts at The Old Fire Station Café (The falafel wrap is our favourite!)
Other local hotspots that are all a short walk from the theatre are:
The Handle Bar (Coffee and Food) on St Michaels Street
Alpha Bar (Salad and Sandwiches) in Oxford’s Covered Market
The Art Café (Coffee and Food) opposite The Westgate
The Gloucester Green Market also has an amazing range of street food stalls and is open Wednesday-Saturday - it also is on the doorstep of The Old Fire Station if you use the Gallery Entrance!
