After a two-year intermission, we are thrilled to bring all the excitement, energy and pure talent back to South Boston!
With productions of "A Chorus Line" and "Footloose," opening the weekend of July 8th and 9th, we are happy to welcome a cast of actors and crew from across the country.
Summer Stock 2022 could not be made possible without the support and dedication of our community.
Thank you to all our volunteers, the individuals and households who are opening their homes to host our company, and our sponsors: Sentara, Southeastern Theatre Conference, J.E. Burton Construction, and The Virginia Commission of the Arts.
This year presents many opportunities as well as unique challenges, but with the help our beloved community, we are hopeful that we will reach our goal and deliver quality performances to be enjoyed and remembered by all!
Shows of this magnitude require a lot of resources, both monetarily to create stunning scenery, costumes, technical effects and salaries for actors and designers from across the U.S; as well as community volunteers who provide housing, meals, and other resources for our company.
Your contribution will allow college students and young professionals to get on-the-job professional training, gain experience for their resume, and bring a substantial influx of revenue into the South Boston community as tourists visit The Prizery, eat at local restaurants, shop at local stores, and lodge overnight.
