Private Pottery Class for 2 (Handbuilding Workshop)

A perfect relaxing yet productive activity. Unwind while getting creative with your partner/friend/parent/sibling.

You will be learning the basics of handbuilding (sculpting without the wheel).

I pride myself in letting people work on their individual ideas, so we will not be making the same thing simultaneously. I start by explaining the techniques, and then help everyone as they work on their unique projects.

The venue is located in DTLA with a ton of fun bars and restaurants to hit after the class.

Hi, everyone! I’m moving to a new studio! While transitioning between spaces, I’ll be temporarily teaching classes at various pop-up locations in the same area. You’ll receive detailed directions before each event.

This masterclass requires NO previous experience! All materials are provided. A couple of glasses of wine per person are complimentary, but feel free to BYOB.

Working with clay is an enormous creativity booster and bliss for your mental health.

You will learn some fun facts about ceramics and get familiar with the clay. After deciding on the piece you want to create and picking the technique, you can get in the zone and deep focus on the craft or continue chatting and exchanging tips and ideas.

We will finish the workshop by selecting glazes for your creations and exchanging social media in case we feel like staying connected.

In about 4 weeks after the class you will get one or two ready-to-use ceramic pieces.

I will fire them for you in a professional pottery studio, glaze it, fire it again, gift wrap, and prepare for a pick up in Los Angeles or (for an additional fee) ship anywhere in the US or around the world.

You can keep one piece for yourself and gift the second piece to your loved ones 🥰 There’s nothing like the feeling of USING something that you made with your own hands. Trust me, this is about to be the favorite mug/plate/bowl/planter 🥣🍶🪴

Your pieces are usually ready within 4 weeks, but the process may take longer depending on the firing schedule of the studio or complications during the drying/firing/glazing (especially if extra services or classes were requested).

Pottery is a very volatile craft. Please, keep that in mind. While we take every precaution to ensure that your creations are handled with care throughout the process, it’s important to understand that imperfections and occasional breakages can occur, particularly during the firing process. By participating in this workshop, you acknowledge that our studio is not liable for any damages or breakages that may happen to your work during or after firings. Refunds cannot be provided for such occurrences, but you will be offered to remake a new piece for free or pick up a small consolation gift. Thank you for your understanding and for embracing the beautiful unpredictability of handmade ceramics.

Once your works are ready for pick up, you will be notified via text and/or email.
