A RIOTOUS hour of FEMMO MUSICAL COMEDY in 8-PART HARMONY!
After a three-year disappearance from the public eye, Pink Flappy Bits make their triumphant return to the stage (and society).
As the tabloids report concerns for their wellbeing (being too young, too hot and too sexy can be perilous) the girls have finally confirmed their 2022 Melbourne Fringe appearance. Of course, they have one small condition ... that they be accompanied (and protected) by a full a capella choir. Choral Edge, with their sharp suits and robust harmonies, were the obvious choice for the job.
Pink Flappy Bits and Choral Edge invite you to witness an hour of musical comedy unlike anything you’ll see this Fringe. PRIVATE PARTS is a new collaboration featuring a bold and satisfying blend of traditional choral music and raucous feminist cabaret (with a dash of choralography thrown in for good measure).
WHEN: 8:45pm October 15 - 23 (7:45pm on Sunday, no show Monday)
WHERE: Fringe Hub @ Trades Hall

ABOUT PINK FLAPPY BITS
Pink Flappy Bits (Tara Dowler & Lou Mapleston) are a charismatic cabaret duo creating queer feminist musical comedy in Melbourne. PFB formed in 2015 after Lou and Tara met traipsing the boards at Monash Uni Student Theatre.
'Pink Flappy Bits', the show, premiered at Melbourne International Comedy Festival in 2016 and was then remounted at The Butterfly Club for Melbourne Fringe that same year. In 2017, the "Flappies" returned with The Flappaganza, a variety cabaret presented by The Butterfly Club for MICF.
ABOUT CHORAL EDGE
Choral Edge is fast becoming one of Melbourne’s most innovative choirs. Led by director Juliana Kay, this versatile troupe seeks to expand the boundaries of choral music and delight audiences through playful, multi-dimensional projects.
In 2018 their debut project Stories from the Choir blended elements of theatre, journalism and choral music into a moving piece of choral-theatre, winning a nomination for Best Music at the Melbourne Fringe Festival. Past productions include The Human Voice (Periscope Productions, 2021) and Scribbles (Choral Edge, 2022).
**This performance takes place on the lands of the Wurundjeri people of the Kulin nation. We acknowledge that sovereignty was never ceded and that it is a privilege to present creative work on this stolen land.**
