Prints, Pints & Pupusas: A Glowfish Linocut Workshop
Schedule

UTC-07:00Location
Ground Breaker Brewing | Portland, OR
About this Event
Join us for a creative night out—an exploration into linocut printing, where you’ll carve your own design into a block and turn it into a custom stamp you can use again and again on paper or fabric.
You’ll leave with your own hand-carved stamp (or a few smaller ones) and a collection of prints you made along the way.
We’ll start by walking through the basics of carving and printing, and then ease into an open, hands-on making session—music on, space to explore, and plenty of room to follow your curiosity.
What to expect
We’ll start with a short, low-pressure intro to get settled in. From there, you’ll be guided through a few simple prompts designed to get you thinking (and maybe unthinking) about creativity—what we’ve been taught, what we hold onto, and what we might want to let go of.
Then we’ll get into the process:
- Learning how to design and carve your linocut block
- Experimenting with ink and printing techniques
- Making prints on paper or postcards
There will be plenty of time to explore, chat, and do your own thing—whether that’s going all in on your design or just enjoying the process.
We’ll wrap up with a casual share moment where you can walk around and see what others made.

A note
Glowfish workshops are designed to be a little different.
Less about getting it “right,” more about trying something new, following curiosity, and seeing what happens.
You don’t need to be good at art.
You don’t need to have a plan.
You just have to show up.
