Visit the Richmond Cultural Centre Rooftop Garden this Culture Days weekend!
Learn to imprint fabrics with leaves, flowers and seeds. Tatakizome translates to ‘dyeing with hammers’, basically pounding natural materials into the fabric to create an imprint. Be prepared for a noisy workshop! Guest artist Fernanda Mascarenhas will host drop-in sessions that being every half hour from 1:00 – 3:30 pm.
All materials and equipment provided.
Children must be accompanied by an adult.
Seating is limited to 12 participants at one time, working for approximately 20-30 minutes.
Drop in every 30 minutes:
1:00 pm, 1:30 pm, 2:00 pm, 2:30 pm, 3:00 pm, 3:30 pm
*In case of inclement weather, these activities will move into the Richmond Art Gallery Program Room.
