About this Event

Class Description

This workshop will teach the basics of printing to the new canon wide format printer, including the basics of paper and color management and the computer printing program. Any photographer or artist who wishes to use the Canon 4600 Wide Format printer will need to take this workshop before using the printer. Tool testing is included following the workshop.

The materials fee for this class is $10. This is separate from the ticket price and is to reimburse the instructor for any tools or materials used in this class. This will be paid once, directly to the instructor at the start of the first class meeting. This instructor accepts cash or Venmo.


Learning Objectives
  • Learn to use the Canon Pro 4600Printer.
  • Learn to use the Qimage layout and printing program.
  • Learn the basics of using paper settings and profiles.

Instructor - Bill Morse @morse.editions

Bill has been a photographer and printmaker for 30 years. He has 20 years experience teaching Photoshop and printmaking, as well as providing computer consulting.

For him, every day at A2 includes multiple, deep interactions with other members involving them teaching him something, or vice versa, or just learning about another neat idea or project.


Target Audience

Students with images to print in jpg, tif, or psd format. If a custom paper is needed, bring the paper and manufacturer info. Students must be 16 years or older. Students under 18 must be accompanied by an adult.
