Join us for PRINTING PARTNERS, a program where students engage in hands-on learning about the book arts. Together we’ll explore a new arts project each week, including: origami bookmaking, hand-stitched journal making, and various forms of making prints including hand-carved linoleum stamp printing, letterpress printing cards, and screen printing apparel.
Classes are geared towards ages 6+, and younger children are welcome with appropriate adult supervision. The program runs for 8 weeks, with one class held at Locust Street Art each week. Families are encouraged to attend all classes, though it’s not necessary to take part. Each class builds upon the other–by the end of the program young learners and families will have developed skills to create more involved and unique pieces of book art! Students will receive a kit of specialty art tools & materials for their use during the classes, and to keep after the program ends.

While we welcome walk-ins to class, seating can be limited. We kindly ask families to RSVP if possible.
