2:30pm - 5:30pm
Instructor: Sadko Hadžihasanović
Class Capacity: 12 participants

Monotype in watercolour is a one-day workshop in which participants will learn, step by step, how to create a couple of monotype prints using watercolour on plexiglass. This unique technique allows students to bring the qualities of painting into printmaking. Participants will also receive guidance on composition, colour, and watercolour painting techniques.
(Those who would like to continue working in this process will be able to access the studio at dedicated drop-in times and rates upon the completion of this class. A facilitator will remain present during these self-directed sessions which take place generally on Wednesday evenings)
About the Instructor
Sadko Hadžihasanović studied at the Academy of Fine Arts in Sarajevo, Bosnia, earned his MFA at the University of Belgrade, Yugoslavia, and arrived in Canada in 1993. Since his arrival, Hadžihasanović has participated in over sixty exhibitions in public galleries and artist-run centers across Canada.
He continues to explore identity and its cultural and social implications through an extensive portraiture-based body of work, employing mixed media, collage, printmaking, animation, and a wide range of references to popular culture. He is represented by Paul Petro Contemporary Art in Toronto.
