Join us for a print and pattern masterclass using mud resists and indigo pigment in the beautiful surroundings of our garden
About this Event

Unleash your creativity and join us for an intensive print and pattern masterclass using mud resists and indigo pigment. In this course you will learn how to create beautiful patterns using a clay resist and adding depth and detail using indigo as a pigment. You will have the chance to explore each technique individually and then use these methods in different combinations to create your own designs.

You will have time to explore each technique and create a range of samples as well as some large pieces to take away for other projects. You will also be given the recipes and information needed to further experiment at home.

The course is packed with information so we recommend taking notes and making sure you can attend all sessions to ensure you get the most out of it. We will learn key processes each day so unfortunately we cannot make exceptions to miss part of the session.

What to bring

Please bring a sketchbook for the first session and to make notes throughout the course. Please wear messy clothes and bring water and a picnic lunch. We have a gazebo to create partial shade but we recommend a hat for sunny days. Bear in mind there’s a 3-5 minute walk from the gates to the garden, please arrive on time as late comers delay the start of the session. Unfortunately the path to the garden is not suitable for wheelchairs, please get in touch to discuss accessibility. There are toilets on site.

Refunds

You are eligible to receive a full refund if we receive a written request at least 10 working days before the start of the workshop.
