About this Event
In this two-hour course, you’ll develop your skills in seeing light as well as the ways in which you can use speed lights, strobes, and other lighting modifiers to create beautiful light anywhere. We will discuss the basic properties of light and how it impacts the look of a photograph as well as how various lighting tools are used. If you’re frustrated by the look of your photographs when you use a flash, or don’t know how to begin, this class is for you.
Instructor - Steve Daubs
Steve’s passion for photography was born in the streets of Chicago followed by late nights in the darkroom in his college years at Northwestern University. Since then, he’s worked as a photojournalist, travel photographer, and, for the past 10 years, as a wedding and portrait photographer in Florida and Wisconsin. With more than a decade of experience teaching, he loves demystifying photographic concepts and helping people understand not only how to do something but why it matters.
