Prince's PURPLE RAIN - Screening at Sela. Sunday 22nd September.

Calling all Prince fans, join us for a very special screening of the movie Purple Rain to celebrate 40 years since its release.

Tickets are £5 per person and can be purchased on the door - or through our website www.selabar.com - we recommend pre-booking to guarantee a good seat for the screening as we do have limited space!

We will be serving up Prince inspired special pizzas & cocktails to celebrate such a momentous occasion, alongside all our usual classics, the bar will be open til midnight, playing tunes from Prince & friends alike until close if you fancy sticking around for a dance. 

Synopsis - Prince makes his acting debut in this rock musical. He stars as The Kid, an ambitious and talented young musician from a harsh, poverty-stricken background struggling to win love and musical recognition in Minneapolis. In search of success, he spends his nights performing at the First Avenue Nightclub with his band, The Revolution. When he meets fellow aspiring singer Apollonia (Apollonia Kotero), he is completely smitten - but when he replicates the abusive behavior of his father (Clarence Williams III), he looks set to lose her forever. Can he win her back from his arch enemy, Morris (Morris Day), who fronts rival group The Time and will he ever find the success he craves?
