On June 7, 2016, "PRINCE DAY" was proclaimed in the city of HOUSTON and is celebrated annually. On June 7, 2025 "PRINCE DAY" was proclaimed in the great state of TEXAS. Only Minneapolis/Chanhassen and the state of Minnesota boasts the same dates of recognition by city and state governments to honor and recognize the historic life and legacy of "The Purple One."

COUNTING THE DAYS TIL PRINCE DAY 2026...We will once again pay homage and celebrate the Purple One's longevity and influence with Special Guest, Owen Husney; music manager, record industry executive and author. Husney is known for his discovery and management of Prince and Prince's 1977 signing to Warner Bros. Records—then one of the largest contracts for a new artist in history.
