Chain Gang MTB Club, in association with School Cycling South Africa, and dedicated, experienced instructors, will be hosting skills and ride sessions for the Primary School Riders in preparation for their upcoming races at the respective venues.Die Bosveld: Sat 7 September
Limited space available per session
Age group specific times:
Session 1: Sub Nippers: 8-9:30am
Session 2: Nippers: 10-11:30am
Session 2: Sprogs: 10-11:30am
Session 3: Sub Juniors: 12-2pm
Basic outline of skills will be age/group appropriate such as:
Trail Etiquette, how to pass safely
Understanding the terrain
Riding the terrain and tackling the obstacles on route
Emergency braking
Bike-Body control and separation
Gearing for inclines, flats and declines
Race start simulations
The art of riding and starting in big groups
How to master flat-out from start to finish
Mental race prep and goals
Having fun while you tackle the course
R200 per rider
Price includes rider entry fee to the venue
Price excludes if mom/dad/sibling want to go enjoy a ride/run at the venue, while we are coaching skills.
Pre entries do not need to pay at the gate, there will be a check list. Other riders will need to pay at the gate.
Mom’s and Dad’s, enjoy the time out with a good cup of coffee, as both venues have wonderful coffee shops.
Each age group has its own booking slot. (Eg: Grootfontein - SUB JUNIOR - Primary School Skills)
