A practical session full of ideas to motivate learners to write in the primary languages classroom.
About this Event

One of the aims of the KS2 Languages Programme of Study is that pupils 'can write at varying length, for different purposes and audiences, using the variety of grammatical structures that they have learnt'.

In this half-day course, we will look at strategies to motivate learners to write, and how to plan for progression. Examples will be given in French and Spanish and can be adapted to other languages.

This training is ideal for teachers, ECTs, HLTAs and any practitioners involved in the delivery of primary languages.

What to expect?

Participants will

  • consider strategies to support learners to form sentences effectively orally and in writing;
  • explore a range of practical ideas to motivate their learners to write;
  • consider ideas to show progression;
  • network with like-minded colleagues.
