About this Event
Join us for a Pride Beach Sit for queer and trans BIPOC birders and their families! Many species of Birds reflect the spectrum of divserity in gender and sexuality; relfecting our own expericnees in thier lived ecology. Join us as we welcome the wonderful diveristy in the world.
This event is open to Queer BIPOC folks and thier families and will center the experiences and community of Queer Birders.
Details: Bring a blanket or folding chair. Snacks and loaner binoculars will be provided!
Site Info: Registration is required, see the link in our bio. The exact location will be sent to registrants before the event. On the unceded homelands of the Council of Three Fires: The Ojibwe, Ottawa, and the Potawatomi.
This event is immediately adjacent to a paved parking lot, bike trail or road. The paved pedestrian and bike trail is relatively flat with a couple minor slopes.
Transportation: There are public transit options nearby, and ample paid parking spots from CPD. Need a ride or willing to offer one to another attendee? Join the Slack group to coordinate a carpool!
Attire: Be sure to bring water and dress appropriately for the weather and activity for your comfort and safety.
Minors: Teens and kids are welcomed, but a parent or guardian must be present throughout.
Weather: A notification will be emailed to registrants the morning of the event if it must be rescheduled or cancelled due to adverse weather conditions.
