Layla follows the journey of a struggling British-Palestinian drag performer whose confident stage persona conceals a deep yearning for love and belonging. After a defiant performance at a corporate Pride event, Layla is surprised to captivate Max—a charismatic, successful white gay man enchanted by Layla’s magnetic presence. A whirlwind romance unfolds, bridging identities across the LGBTQ+ spectrum. As their connection deepens, the film masterfully navigates the tensions between desire and identity, exposing the messy, beautiful collisions that define queer relationships.
