About this Event
Goldsmiths CCA and Aimless Gallery, a not-for-profit, political, queer, slow fashion latex brand, have collaborated ahead of Trans+ Pride 2024 to host a sign making workshop; in celebration of Pride's roots in protest and to bring together our community, as well as show support and love for our trans siblings.
London Trans+ Pride (founded in 2019) is a response to the injustices that trans, intersex, gender nonconforming, and non-binary people face daily, all over the world. Together we will be making signs calling for equality, via positive legislative change and radical improvement to our education and public healthcare system, to recognise and support the needs of trans people as much as those of anyone else living in the UK.
This event is free for all, with a range of sign making materials and refreshments provided. Space is limited, so please only book a ticket if you are able to attend. The workshop will run as a drop-in, with no requirement to stay for the whole time or arrive at 6pm on the dot!
We are asking attendees who do not identify as trans+ to make a donation to the London Trans+ Pride 2024 fundraiser if able. These funds help to cover the costs of the march, enabling them to remain as a grassroots non-profit organisation.
