Come create your own Pride flag with exhibiting artist Steven Frost. In this workshop, participants will explore the rich history of queer pride flags and learn the core design principles needed to craft a unique, personal flag of your own!

About the Artist

Steven Frost (b. 1981, Woodsville, New Hampshire; lives and works in Boulder, Colorado)(they/them) is an Assistant Professor of Media Studies at the University of Colorado Boulder and Associate Director of the Unstable Design Lab at CU’s Roser ATLAS Institute. An interdisciplinary fiber artist, they approach weaving as social infrastructure, using textiles to explore queer worldmaking, memory, and community building. Frost co-founded the Colorado Sewing Rebellion, Slay the Runway, the Experimental Weaving Residency, and co-hosts the Experimental Weaving Talk Series, fostering dialogue across art, craft, and research communities through collaborative workshops and public-facing projects.
