Pride Cèilidh is an inclusive and joyful event celebrating dance, live music, and storytelling from the Celtic nations. An experienced caller will guide you through dances that use inclusive language and are easy to learn — no partner needed. In fact, cèilidh dancing is one of the best ways to meet new people! You’ll also get a light supper, a musical item from queer folk band Moon Goose, and a queer folk tale shared by a special guest.Tickets from events.humanitix.com/pride-ceilidh
🎟️ General / Waged - $25
🎟️ Concession / Unwaged - $10
🎟️ Kids under 12 - free
The evening is open to people of all backgrounds, genders, and ages; the early start time makes it easy for everyone from rangatahi to elders to join in. Dances early in the evening should be especially suitable for tamariki and beginners, with some opportunities for fast movers to let loose on the dance floor as the evening goes on.
Our organising team are all tangata tiriti with long-standing connections in the Aotearoa folk scene. Between us we bring event experience, years of folk music experience, and a shared intention to create cèilidh spaces that feel genuinely welcoming. As an all-queer crew, we’re here to hold a night where people can show up as themselves, connect, move, and enjoy the music. Come dance, meet some new faces, and celebrate being your whole self.
