Preview | We Grow Together

Book your ticket for the Private View of this ambitious new installation, taking place in our Swanfield space in Leith, Edinburgh. Although open for a full week following, this evening is a chance to enjoy a lighting installation as well as refreshments served by our Upmo Eat students.

This exhibition is a sensory installation featuring over one hundred trees, decorated by students using a variety of techniques and materials, as well as an audio element by our music students. Developed during workshops, this student-led project has explored a variety of themes including touch, community and nature.

During Covid-19, we all collectively experienced the absence of touch and took solace in exploring outdoors. This is a celebration of the resilience of our student community during a difficult period, when Upmo was unable to operate an in-person service, as well to reflect on this challenging time through art.

After this preview, We Grow Together will be open for a full week for visitors, Monday - Friday, 10.30am - 3pm. You can book a slot via Eventbrite.

Upmo is a charity that provides support and opportunity to adults with learning disabilities and autism in Edinburgh & the Lothians. Through a variety of workshops and activities, we empower students to reach their individual goals and ambitions for the future.
