Have you ever wanted to learn how to forage for native plants and make art with them? Join us for a spring-filled creative workshop led by artist and Piedmont native, Haley Nichols! In this workshop, you will learn the art of floral preservation by using native plants to create pressed flower art. Participants will forage for native plants around the landscape of Farm in the Wildwood and learn various techniques of flower drying and pressing to create beautiful works of art with. You’ll leave with unique pressed flower artwork of your creation, an illustrated field guide to finding native plants in your own backyard, and instructions for creating more pressed flower artwork with the plants you foraged on the farm. These pieces make for one-of-a-kind home decor or the perfect hand-made gift. This workshop is designed for parents and children of all ages, no previous experience required.
