The Music@AkronFCC Concert Series invites you to an extraordinary evening where the worlds of film, anime, and video games collide in a breathtaking symphonic performance. PRESS PLAY: A Symphony of the Screen takes the stage on Saturday, September 27, 2025, at First Congregational Church of Akron (292 E Market Street, Akron, OH 44308).
The night begins at 7pm with a Chamber Music Preshow—an intimate, 45-minute journey through handpicked selections performed by small ensembles. Then at 8pm, the sanctuary will be filled with the soaring sound of the brand-new Press Play Orchestra & Choir, created by the talent behind the celebrated Video Game Symphony and Cinematic Symphony Orchestra.
Get ready to be transported as heroic brass, sweeping strings, and ethereal voices bring to life some of the most iconic soundtracks ever written. From the big screen to digital realms, the program will feature:
