Press Freedom Cocktails and Conversations with Alsu Kurmasheva

Join Alsu Kurmasheva for a night to learn about her story, her work on press freedom cases of detained reporters and how you can help. The evening will include a social hour to mix and meet with fellow members and press freedom advocates, as well as learn more about the work the Club is doing through the Press Freedom Center at the National Press Club.

Alsu, a journalist for Radio Free Europe/Radio Liberty was wrongfully detained in Russia in October 2023. Through the effort of many, including the advocacy of the National Press Club, she was freed in August 2024.

This event is for Press Club members and their guests only, free of charge. Members and their guests will be provided with one free drink.
