Press Club members are invited to our monthly membership meeting on Thursday, February 19 at 11:30 a.m. at Bruno's Italian Kitchen.For our February meeting, Kai Jai Conner will discuss her debut as executive producer for The Melody Maids Movie.
The new documentary tells the story of The Melody Maids, an all-girls singing group from Beaumont. The Melody Maids traveled around the country and the world entertaining troops on military bases, at military hospitals and in war zones from World War II to Vietnam. Conner's mother, Glenda Brown, was a Melody Maid from 1951 to 1958.
