Preserving Summer Camp Week 1: Puttin' Up Tomatoes!

Join Stephanie McClenny of jam & preserves company, confituras, as we announce the Week 1 of our Preserving Summer Camp series: Puttin' Up Tomatoes! in this hands on class we will focus on a most basic and essential skill (and one that we get many requests for!), preserving tomatoes. We will take you through the basics of canning safety, equipment, and fruit selection (remember, folks, tomatoes are a fruit!). We will also discuss the specifics of canning tomatoes whole, crushed, diced, and with added herbs and other flavorings. All equipment and fruit is included, everyone takes home a jar of tomatoes from the class - more than a class, these are skills that will last a lifetime!

This event is BYOB and light refreshments (biscuits, anyone?) will be served!
