About this Event
In the summer of 2021, Tijdschrift voor Genderstudies published a special issue titled: Researching intimate partner violence. Gender, intersectionality and policymaking. After some delay due to the covid-19 pandemic, Tijdschrift voor Genderstudies and the guest editors of this special issue, Eva Vergaert, Gily Coene, and Sophie Withaeckx, are proud to announce a special presentation of the issue.
During this presentation, three authors will introduce their contributions to the issue: Eva Vergaert will discuss intimate partner violence in the field of general practitioner care; Suzanne Bouma will speak about the importance of gender sensitive policies in the complex relationship between economic independence and intimate partner violence; and Lotte de Schrijver will discuss mental health and domestic violence among LGB+ persons during the covid-19 lockdown measures in Belgium.
The afternoon will be closed by editor Sophie Withaeckx.
The panel discussion will take place at:
Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam Hoofdgebouw (HG)
Zaal HG-07A36 - HG-07A36
From: 14.00-16.30 uur
This will be a hybrid event, so those who cannot make it in person but are still interested in the panel debate can join the live stream via Zoom by following this link:
