Българският културен институт Лондон има удоволствието да ви покани на представянето на писателката Ирина Папанчева и нейната книга „Брюксел, разголен“. Романът ще бъде представен от Кристофър Бъкстон.
„В „Брюксел, разголен“ Ирина Папанчева умело и увлекателно разсъблича Брюксел, Европа и света, чрез оголването на хора, чувства, вяра, религиозност, страсти и съдби… Десет герои с различна раса, националност, религия, разказват епизоди от ежедневието си в Брюксел и преди това, а животът на Ирис преминава през тях като червена нишка.“
Ирина Папанчева е родена в гр. Бургас. Завършва паралелка с литературен профил в СEУ „Св. св. Кирил и Методий“, магистратура по „Славянска филология – Чешки език и литература“ в СУ „Св. Климент Охридски“ и по „Европейска интеграция и развитие – Европейска политика и социална интеграция“ в Свободния фламандски университет в Брюксел (Vrije Universiteit Brussel).
Автор на детската илюстрована книжка „Аз заеквам“ (ИК „Сиела“, 2005 г.), повестта „Почти интимно“ (ИК „Кронос“, 2007 г.), романите „Анабел“ (ИК „Жанет 45“, 2010 г.), „Перо от пеликан“ (ИК „Жанет 45“, 2013 г.) и „Тя, островът“ (КК „Труд“, 2017 г.), новелата „Добре дошъл, Натан!“ (Fast Print Press, 2019 г.) и на разкази. Нейни творби са преведени и издадени на английски, френски, арабски и персийски
Награда на участниците в конкурса „Южна пролет – 2008“ за повестта „Почти интимно“. “Анабел“ е сред трите номинирани книги в конкурса на Фондация „Елизабет Костова“ и издателство Open Letter Books в Университета в Рочестър за Съвременен български роман (2014).
Ирина Папанчева живее в Брюксел, където ръководи застъпничеството на фондация Лумос към Европейския съюз.
Кристофър Бъкстон от своя страна е писател и преводач от Великобритания, който има връзка с България от 1977 година. От дълго време той промотира българската култура и именно поради този си принос, през 2015г. Кристофър получава медал и почетна грамота от Министерство на Културата.

The Bulgarian Cultural Institute London has the pleasure to invite you to a presentation of the Bulgarian author Irina Papancheva’s book “Brussels, stripped”. The novel will be presented by Christopher Buxton.
In the novel, Irina Papancheva “skilfully and entertainingly strips Brussels, Europe and the world through stripping human destinies, believes, feelings and passions… Ten characters with different race, nationality, religion- tell episodes of their every day life since they had come to Brussels and before that; Iris’s life (the main character) goes through them like a red thread.”
Irina Papancheva was born in Burgas. Graduated from a class with a literary profile at the "St. St. Cyril and Methodius", Master's degree in "Slavic philology - Czech language and literature" at SU "St. Kliment Ohridski" and on "European integration and development - European politics and social integration" at the Free Flemish University in Brussels (Vrije Universiteit Brussel).
Author of the children's illustrated book "I stutter" (IC "Siela", 2005), the short story "Almost Intimate" (IC "Kronos", 2007), the novels "Annabelle" (IC "Jeanette 45", 2010 ), Pelican Feather (Jeanette 45, 2013) and She, the Island (Labor, 2017), the novella Welcome, Nathan! (Fast Print Press, 2019 .) and of stories. Her works have been translated and published in English, French, Arabic and Persian.
Prize of the participants in the competition "South Spring - 2008" for the story "Almost Intimate". "Annabel" is among the three nominated books in the contest of the Elizabeth Kostova Foundation and the Open Letter Books publishing house at the University of Rochester for Contemporary Bulgarian Novel (2014).
Irina Papancheva lives in Brussels, where she leads the advocacy of the Lumos Foundation towards the European Union.
Christopher Buxton on the other hand, is an author and interpreter from Great Britain, who has been having connections with Bulgaria on personal and professional level since 1977. He has been promoting Bulgarian culture for a long time and precisely because of this contribution, in 2015 Christopher receives a medal and certificate of honour from the Ministry of Culture in Bulgaria.
