Presentation by Jay Valentine & Alex Painter on the Indianapolis Clowns

Join us for a presentation by former Indianapolis Clowns Center Fielder Jay Valentine to discuss his life and career. Jay will be interviewed by writer, researcher, and podcaster Alex Painter. The two will discuss the Indianapolis Clowns, barnstorming, and the Negro Leagues.

Alex has written multiple books, including several on Black baseball and Black ballplayers. As a researcher, Alex uncovered the Richmond (IN) Giants, a professional Black baseball team from over a century ago who had never been chronicled, and had long been forgotten.
