About this Event
In presentation and discussion format with intimate viewing of finished works within the context of their home, Anand and Sauer will share the project, , as well as work derived as artists in residence through the Grand Canyon Conservancy. In Echoes of the Passage, they examine the mark-making connected with traversing the Earth's atmosphere—considering the charge imbued upon artifacts such as orbiters and space capsules that have been to the void and back. At the Grand Canyon, the artists explored ways of representing an ineffable and widely-seen landscape through the use of video time-lapse, interviews, and photographic prints. Their resulting works employ strategies of withholding detail to preserve the gravity of experience.
This special event is free and limited to 12 AZPA members only.
