PRESENCE - A Somatic Breathwork Journey in Midtown Sacramento
About this Event
This is not a passive relaxation class. The experience includes embodied teaching, intentional connected breathing done while lying down, emotional release, rest, and facilitated integration.
This Experience May Be for You If…
- You feel like you are living slightly outside of your own life
- You spend more time in your mind than in your body
- You notice yourself numbing, distracting, or overworking when things feel too much
- You are ready to explore presence as something felt—not understood
- You long for a space where nothing needs to be performed or explained
- You are willing to meet yourself with honesty, tenderness, and curiosity
- You are tired of being a victim of life and are ready to ask the right questions that put you back in the driver's seat of your life
- You desire to reclaim your life as your own and begin making real choices to step your way back to yourself, your life, your loved ones
- You are looking to find out who you really are underneath all the names and titles, and do it on purpose
What is your relationship with your breath?
PRESENCE is an opportunity to enter that conversation.
This is where reflection becomes experience.
In PRESENCE, you are not asked to understand your breath intellectually—you are invited to feel it directly, in real time, as it moves through your body.
Through somatic teaching, sensory awareness, and a continuous active breath, we explore the relationship between breathing, feeling, and being here.
Not presence as an idea.
Presence as something you can sense from within.
The breath may bring you into contact with sensation, emotion, resistance, memory, expression, clarity, or something not yet named.
And you are not asked to fix, interpret, or change any of it.
This is not about controlling the breath.
Not about performing healing.
Not about forcing calm.
Not about using breathwork to escape what is real.
It is about listening inward… moment by moment.
Allowing the breath to show you where life wants to move, and where it asks you … to stay.
Discovering what happens when you remain in contact with yourself as experience shifts—intensifies, softens, or becomes unfamiliar.
And practicing that staying… gently, honestly, … breath by breath.
Because the way we meet the breath may reflect the way we meet life.
Do we allow ourselves to receive… or brace against it?
Do we soften… or tighten into control and resistance?
Do we stay with what is here… or leave ourselves when it becomes too much?
Do we let life move through us… or hold it at a distance until that distance becomes “normal”?
Every inhale is an invitation to receive.
Every exhale is an invitation to release.
And between them is the lived experience of being. … Here. … Now.
⸻
And this is where you are invited in.
Not to observe from a distance—but to make the choice to participate. In your own experience of life.
To bring your breath, exactly as it is.
To bring your body, exactly as it is today.
To bring your willingness, even if it feels small or uncertain.
You do not need to arrive calm.
You do not need to know how to breathe “correctly.”
You do not need to be experienced, spiritual, flexible, or certain of your intention.
You only need curiosity.
To listen.
To feel.
To breathe.
To discover what becomes possible when you stop abandoning the body—and begin building a conscious relationship with the breath that has never stopped carrying you.
What is your relationship with your breath?
In PRESENCE, you will have the space to find out—one breath at a time.
Your Invitation
Rita Andryushchenko is a certified breathwork facilitator, yoga teacher, somatic practitioner in training, and founder of Sacred Breath Wisdom.
Her work is rooted in lived experience of the body—not as an idea, but as a place where truth, emotion, memory, and transformation are directly encountered.
Her facilitation is:
- grounded
- emotionally honest
- trauma-aware
- and deeply respectful of personal autonomy
She does not guide people away from being human.
She guides them into it.
Important Participation Information
This is a deeply held space.
And it is not always a comfortable one.
Active breathwork can awaken the nervous system.
It can bring forward sensation, emotion, memory, and release.
Nothing is wrong if that happens.
You will always have choice:
- slow down
- pause
- return to natural breath
- rest
- or simply witness
You will never be asked to override your body.
This is not about pushing through.
It is about learning, gently and courageously:
how not to leave yourself.
A Loving Note
We begin with an embodied teaching on Presence:
- what pulls us away from it
- how disconnection lives in the nervous system
- and what it means to return to the here and now, moment by moment
From there, you will be guided into intention-setting and a continuous, active somatic breathwork journey.
Your breath may open doors you did not expect.
You may meet:
- sensation
- emotion
- resistance
- memory
- insight
- release
- clarity
- direction
- silence
- or something wordless and new
Nothing is required of you except willingness and curiosity.
No forcing.
No performing.
No needing it to look a certain way.
Just breath… and presence… unfolding as it is.
This container includes:
- An embodied teaching on Presence
- Somatic awareness and sensory grounding
- Intention-setting
- A guided active breathwork journey
- Space for emotional release and authentic expression
- Deep rest and integration
- A closing reflection circle
No experience is necessary.
You do not need to be spiritual.
You do not need to be flexible.
You do not need to know what you are doing.
You only need one thing:
a willingness to meet yourself.
